How I work
My background spans business analysis, solution architecture, transformation and CTO leadership. That means I am comfortable challenging a business model with a founder, interrogating an architecture with engineers, working through supplier obligations, or turning a complex programme into something a board can govern.
I have worked across established financial services organisations, including architecture roles with Atom Bank and GB Bank, alongside multiple startup-bank and high-growth business environments. Today, I operate as a fractional CTO and adviser: close enough to the organisation to own outcomes, independent enough to challenge assumptions.
What clients get
Range without hand-offs
Strategy, architecture, delivery, suppliers, governance, security, data and AI viewed as one connected system.
Direct challenge
Clear advice when a plan, supplier position or technical assumption does not stand up.
Proportionate control
Enough governance to make risk visible and decisions repeatable, without slowing the business to a crawl.
Ownership
Engagement with the decisions and outcomes—not a detached report that leaves the problem behind.
Where I add most value
- A startup is moving from proposition to a credible, launchable platform
- A scale-up needs stronger technology leadership before making a permanent hire
- A regulated business needs architecture, delivery and evidence to tell the same story
- A leadership team faces a major platform, supplier or investment decision
- AI and data activity needs a practical route from experimentation to business value
